Playing With Boxes and Killing Kudzu

This is a happy baby

This is a pretty baby

This is a photogenic baby

This is tender baby

This is freaking kudzu!

I had never known it, but kudzu can grow
woody vines.  This is the thickest part of the
vine.  The wood was spongy.

I pulled out the kudzu and wound it up as
carefully as I would gather up barbed wire.  I do
not any of this stuff to remain in my yard and
I do not want it to touch the soil and root!

I do not think that kudzu is so hearty that it
is hard to kill, but it drops roots every few feet
and it can give itself a lot of opportunities to live.
I don't think that it is nearly as hard to get
rid of as Bermuda grass.

Kudzu leaves have a rather distinctive shape.

When left unchecked, kudzu can take over

This kudzu is across the street from my woods.
It has grown so much that the trees it
is on cannot get sunlight.  It will kill them if
it is not stopped.

Our boy likes to spin on his swing.

I have a blade of grass between my thumbs
and I am blowing across it to make sound.
The lighting of this picture is great!

She can stand, but she cannot walk yet.
