One of my goals for this trip was to learn how
to take pictures at night with fireworks.
While I was taking film pictures on my tripod,
my wife took these pictures. I had experimented
with some of the light settings and that's why
these look so dark. There are much better
pictures to follow and on my film
photography
page.

These fireworks on the National Mall
are behind the Washington Monument. The
area behind the monument by the reflection
pond was said to be closed.

I changed the settings on the digital camera
back to normal. The pictures look much better,
but it is apparent that the camera is not
on the tripod. These pictures are not as good as
the ones on my photograph page.
