A hat trick is a hockey term for scoring three
times. This jet took off vertically, landed
vertically and flew supersonically in one flight.

I think this is the first vehicle to perform the
so called hat trick. The reason it was performed
was to out-do the Boeing submission for the
Joint Strike Fighter. This jet was subsequently
selected over the Boeing jet.
